For our first full day at Cerro Torre, we take a Bert Tour. When we met Niels Peter in Ushuaia about a week before, Bert led the way when we walked down the pier and were caught in blizzard-like weather. The next day, Bert had expertly navigated through the streets of Ushuaia - without a map - and led us to the fancy hotels above the city overlooking the bay. Niels Peter started calling these adventures "Bert Tours" that day and we've called them that ever since.

"You never know what to expect on a Bert Tour," Niels Peter says. "Sometimes it's a blizzard and sometimes we bake in the sun. Sometimes you collapse with exhaustion at the end and sometimes (like today) it's an easy 15 minute stroll. It's a Bert Tour."
